Free Thanksgiving Games to Play Online (2026): Feasts, Harvests and Fall Leaves

Glowbit Games · Updated

Thanksgiving is about food, family and a long weekend at home. That makes it a perfect time for a few quick games: something to play while the turkey is in the oven, something the kids can play after dinner, and something calm for the lazy Friday after.

Every game on this list is free, runs right in your browser with no download and no sign-up, and works on phones and tablets too. They’re all made by our studio, Glowbit. None of them is about turkeys, but all of them fit the season: feasts, harvests, farms, falling leaves and cozy autumn colours. Most load in about 1 MB, so they start in seconds even on slow holiday Wi-Fi at Grandma’s house.

1. Picnic Heist!: steal the whole feast

Genre: sneaky strategy · Download: ~4 MB · Mobile: yes · Ages: 3+

A family has laid out a huge spread, and your colony of tiny masked ants wants all of it. Drag a trail from the anthill to a snack, and the ants march out and carry it home together. Small things like crumbs and blueberries need one ant. A sandwich needs 12, a burger 16, a watermelon 18 and the birthday cake 22.

The catch: the family keeps glancing down. A dashed circle shows where they’re about to look, and any snack that’s moving in their view raises suspicion. Hold FREEZE and everyone stands still, because a sandwich that stands still is just a sandwich. There are 12 picnics in a park, on a beach, at a backyard BBQ and at a moonlit camp.

Best for: the hour before dinner. Feast Mode gives you three minutes while the family keeps unpacking new food, which feels very Thanksgiving.

2. Sprout Scouts!: a veggie harvest with a squad

Genre: garden adventure · Download: ~1 MB · Mobile: yes · Ages: 3+

You play Pip, a scout gnome with a whistle. Pluck little veggie sprouts out of the ground and they follow you everywhere. Toss them at things and they get to work: they pile onto bugs, break twig gates and carry lost treasures home to the Sprout Pot, which grows even more sprouts.

There are three kinds of sprouts. Radishes hit hardest, Bluebells can swim, and Sunpuffs fly high over hedges. You play through 16 stages in four gardens, including an apple orchard, and the squad grows to as many as 100 sprouts.

Best for: kids who love Pikmin-style games, and anyone who wants a harvest that fights back.

3. Leaf Me Alone!: the most autumn game ever

Genre: physics arcade · Download: ~1 MB · Mobile: yes · Ages: 6+

What’s more November than a yard full of orange leaves? You have a leaf blower, and every single leaf is simulated (up to 7,200 of them), so they roll, flutter and heap up into real piles. Blow them onto the tarp, fight a leaf war with grumpy Mr. Grumbleton next door, and keep Biscuit the dog out of your pile.

There are 12 yards in four places, including a farm. You can unlock a hat made of autumn leaves and another shaped like a pumpkin.

Best for: the day after Thanksgiving, when the real yard needs raking and you’d rather do it on screen.

4. Sunny Town: Cozy Life: grow pumpkins at Grandma’s farm

Genre: life simulation · Download: ~11 MB · Mobile: yes · Ages: 3+

Explore a seaside town and Grandma’s farm, work fun jobs, adopt a pet and make friends. The farm opens at level 3, and from level 5 you can grow pumpkins. Crops keep growing in real time, even while the game is closed, so plant a field before the big dinner and come back to a full harvest afterwards.

Best for: younger kids, and anyone who wants a calm, cozy game for the long weekend.

5. Crop Circle Crew: a night on the farm

Genre: drawing arcade · Download: ~1 MB · Mobile: yes · Ages: 7+

Harvest season, seen by a UFO. Fly a little flying saucer over a moonlit field and press the crop flat with your tractor beam to copy a glowing pattern before sunrise. There are four farms: wheat, lavender, canola and barley. Watch out for Farmer Joe’s flashlight and his barking dog, and beam up a few cows for bonus points.

At dawn the camera rises into the sky to show off your work, and the morning newspaper writes about it.

Best for: a calm, creative game. The stake-and-rope tool makes perfect circles even if you have shaky hands after dessert.

6. Jelly Gulp!: a battle on top of dessert

Genre: party arcade · Download: ~1 MB · Mobile: yes · Ages: 3+

The dessert table, but as a sumo ring. You and up to seven other wobbly jellies fight on top of a giant cake, and the cake falls apart under you. Roll over candy to grow, gulp smaller jellies, spit them at bigger ones and bonk everyone into the sea. One stage is a stack of pancakes over a syrup lake. The last jelly on the cake wins.

Best for: quick, silly rounds when everyone is too full to move.

7. Maple Chess: chess in an autumn garden

Genre: board game · Download: ~9 MB · Mobile: yes · Ages: 3+

A full game of 3D chess set in an autumn garden, with every rule included. Play against the computer on three levels, or pass the device back and forth and play against a family member on the same screen.

Best for: the grown-ups’ table after dinner, or a grandparent-versus-grandkid rematch.

  • Pass the phone: in Picnic Heist, each person plays one picnic and the most snack points wins the first slice of pie.
  • Leaf-raking contest: in Leaf Me Alone, take turns on the same yard and see who clears it fastest.
  • Family chess match: Maple Chess has a two-player mode on one screen, so the winner of each game stays on and the next challenger sits down.
