About Wickling!
Wickling! is a free spooky-cute action adventure for your browser and phone. You play Wick, a tiny living candle in the town of Hollowmere, where the Great Candle has gone out and the Gloom has crept in. Your wax is your life and your light at the same time: it melts slowly, shadow creatures bite pieces off it, and the less wax you have, the smaller your circle of light gets. Shadows burn in light, so they wait at the edge of yours with their eyes glowing in the dark, and lunge when your flame flickers.
Stand next to a dark lantern to light it. Lit lanterns are safe havens that refill your wax, seal the shadow pools around them and burn anything that wanders in. Light them all and the gate opens. Press FLARE to burn every shadow around you (it costs wax), drop tealights to guard a spot, and rescue three lost wisplings in every stage. Watch out for Wax Moths that eat lantern light, the Hush that only moves when nobody is looking, gusty Boo Sheets and pumpkins with teeth, then lure the Scarecrow Shade, the Moth Queen, Lady Draught and The Gloom into lantern light: it's the only place they can be hurt.
