Boom Bloom! is a free fireworks chain reaction game for your browser and phone. Paper lanterns with little faces float over a night-time lake. Tap the sky and a rocket shoots up from the barges and bursts right where you tapped. Every lantern its sparks touch catches fire and bursts too, and its sparks light the next ones. With only a few rockets per show, the whole game is about finding the one spark that sets off the biggest chain.

Each lantern is a different firework shell. A Peony makes a round burst, a Big Mum reaches twice as far, a Crossette fires four comets in a cross, a Willow drips golden trails onto the lanterns below, a Halo lights a ring but skips its neighbours, a Zoomer rockets off where its arrow points, and Kitty and Sweetheart shells burst into a cat face and a giant heart. Lucky Stars give a rocket back. Lanterns sway, circle and drift, grumpy rain clouds soak anything inside them, and the crowd on the shore goes "ooooh" and "aaaah" as your chains grow. 16 shows across a harbour town, a lantern lake with a pagoda, a desert under the Milky Way and a snowy bay under the northern lights.
