About Moat Boss!
Moat Boss! is a free sandcastle defense game for your browser and phone. You play Pinchy, a little crab with a big job: the tide is coming in, and the sandcastle (with baby crabs peeking out of the windows) has to stay dry until it goes out again. Hold on the sand and Pinchy scuttles there and gets to work, piling packed sand from his bucket into walls or digging moats to fill the bucket back up.
The water is simulated for real. Waves roll in from the open sea, run up the beach, pour through any gap, pool in low spots and slowly wash loose sand away, so every wall you build changes where the sea goes. Big waves are announced a few seconds ahead, seagulls swoop down to carry Pinchy off, and a happy corgi chasing a beach ball tramples straight through your walls. Twelve tides on four beaches, from Sunny Cove to the glowing waves of Moonlight Lagoon, plus an endless King Tide and a Beach Maker to design and share your own beaches.
