About Hide & Squeak!
Hide & Squeak! is a free spooky-cute adventure for your browser and phone. You play Pip, a baby bat in Grimsby Manor, where the Night Things have scattered Pip's little brothers and sisters all over a pitch-black house. Pip can't see in the dark, but Pip can squeak: every squeak sends out an echo ring that lights up the walls, furniture and creatures it reaches for a moment, and walls cast sharp sound-shadows. Places you have echoed stay as faint glowing outlines, like a map drawn by sound.
The catch: the creatures of the house are blind too, and they hunt by sound. Sack-headed Shushies walk to every noise they hear, porcelain Peekaboo dolls only move while no echo is on them, Wail ghosts drift through walls toward any sound, and Dangle spiders drop from the ceiling. Hold the squeak for a big SCREECH that sees twice as far and stuns anything close, throw pebbles to send monsters somewhere else, find every lost batling and fly them home to the moonlit window. Then ring the chandeliers, mobiles and bells to drop them on three bosses.
