Mochi Blast: Robot Siege Guide – Gadgets, Upgrade Cards and the Titan Mech

Glowbit Games · Updated

Mochi Blast: Robot Siege is a free 3D third-person shooter you can play in your browser. You play Mochi, a robot cat with a jetpack, a Pulse Blaster and the Q-Pack, a backpack that prints new gadgets in the middle of the fight. Survive 7 waves of time-travelling robots, defeat the Titan Mech, then keep going in Endless mode. This guide covers the gadgets, the upgrade cards and the boss.

Your toolkit

Control Action
Left click (hold) Pulse Blaster, rapid fire
Right click (hold, release) Mega Blast: a charged shot that knocks back whole squads
Space (hold in the air) Jetpack
Shift Warp Gate: teleport out of danger
E, 1–5 or mouse wheel Use / pick a gadget
Q Mega Mode: become a giant for 12 seconds

Mega Mode charges as you fight. Save it for the boss, or for a wave that has you surrounded.

The five gadgets

Gadget Effect When to use it
Chrono Freeze Freezes every robot and their bullets for 5 seconds When the screen is full of bullets
Shrink Ray Shrinks robots in a cone; tiny robots are weak, so stomp them Against groups of troopers
Hex Shield For 7 seconds, bounces incoming bullets back at the robots When several robots focus on you
Holo Decoy A hologram of you that fights and draws enemy fire To flank shield bots, or to buy time
Fish Feast Heals 50% HP and showers fish snacks around you Your emergency heal

Gadgets use charges. Upgrade cards give you more, so don’t hoard them: a Chrono Freeze used now is worth more than one saved for a moment that never comes.

Upgrade cards

After every wave, the Q-Pack offers three cards. Each card has a 10% chance of being Legendary, 30% Rare and 60% Common. You never get two gadget refills in the same offer.

Common

  • Pulse Blaster+: +20% damage.
  • Rapid Fire: +18% fire rate.
  • Golden Fish: +20 max HP and heal 40.
  • Turbo Jets: +45% jetpack time (up to 3 times).
  • Cat Armor: take 10% less damage (up to 4 times, 40% total).
  • Gadget refill: +2 charges of one gadget.

Rare

  • Spread Shot: every shot fires 2 extra pulses to the sides (up to 2 times).
  • Piercing Pulse: pulses pass through one more robot (up to 3 times).
  • Lucky Bell: +10% crit chance and +40% item drops.
  • Explosive Warp: leaving a Warp Gate releases a blast, and its cooldown drops 15%.
  • Overcharge: Mega Mode charges 50% faster, plus 30% charge right away.
  • Giant Pulse: pulses 30% bigger and 10% stronger.

Legendary

  • Robo-Cat Power: +35% damage and +25% fire rate. Always take it.
  • Q-Pack Overclock: +1 charge of every gadget, and gadgets are 30% stronger.
  • Sushi Platter: +40 max HP and a full heal.

A strong build: Spread Shot plus Piercing Pulse turns the Pulse Blaster into a crowd cleaner. Take Rapid Fire and Pulse Blaster+ whenever no Rare is offered, and take at least one Cat Armor before wave 5.

The waves

  1. Troopers. Learn to strafe and jetpack.
  2. Rolling bombs. Pop them from a distance before they reach you.
  3. Scout drones. They fly, so look up and use the jetpack to get line of sight.
  4. Shield bots. They block shots from the front. Hit them from behind: fly over them, warp past them, or let the Holo Decoy turn them around.
  5. Elite troopers. Tougher and more accurate. Use cover.
  6. Everything at once. A good moment for Chrono Freeze.
  7. The last wave before the boss. Finish with Mega Mode charged and Fish Feast in reserve.

The Titan Mech

At 12 meters tall, the Titan Mech comes out of a time portal after wave 7. It has three main attacks:

  • Stomp shockwave: a ring that spreads along the ground. Jump or jetpack over it.
  • Missile barrage: a volley of missiles. Keep moving sideways, or warp away.
  • Eye laser: a beam that sweeps the ground. Fly above it, or get behind cover.

How to win: stay at medium range and keep strafing, and fire whenever it pauses between attacks. Use Hex Shield during the missile barrage to send damage back. Save Mega Mode for when its health is low, because a giant Mochi hits much harder. If you get low, Fish Feast heals half your HP.

Tips

  • The game auto-pauses if the browser releases your mouse. Click the game to continue.
  • Containers, houses and the crashed time pod block shots. Use them as cover when you need to reload your nerves.
  • On a slower computer, set Graphics to Low or Medium in Settings for a smoother game.
  • After the Titan falls, Endless mode keeps sending stronger waves. Chase your best score.
