Kitty Vac Guide – How to Grow Fast, Combos, Socks, Puddles and 3 Stars on Every Level
Kitty Vac is a free 3D “eat everything and grow” game for your browser and phone. You drive a tiny robot vacuum with a cat riding on top, and you can slurp anything that is smaller than you. Every thing you eat makes you a little bigger, so a crumb-sized vacuum ends the level eating sofas, cars or whole buildings. This guide explains how it all works and how to get 3 stars on all 8 levels.
The basics
- Drive with W A S D or the arrow keys. You can also hold the mouse button and the vacuum drives towards the cursor. On a phone, drag anywhere on the screen.
- Dash with Space or a right click (the DASH button on mobile, or a second finger). A dash is a short burst of speed with a 2.2 second cooldown.
- Pause with P or Esc.
The box in the bottom-left corner shows how big you are, the NEXT thing you will be able to eat and the level’s Big One.
What can I slurp?
Only things that are smaller than you. If you bump into something too big, it wobbles and you see “TOO BIG!”. Eat lots of small things first and come back later.
- Things standing on a table or a counter are out of reach while you are tiny. Grow a bit, or eat the table: everything on top falls to the floor.
- Small vacuums can drive under tables, chairs and beds. That is where the dust bunnies, coins and lost toys hide.
- Walls become edible at about the size where you no longer fit through the doors, so you never get stuck inside a room.
- “SIZE UP!” pops up every time a new kind of thing becomes edible.
How growth works
Bigger snacks make you grow much faster than crumbs. Eating something almost as big as you gives a big jump, while crumbs only help a little once you are large. A good rhythm is: clear a patch of small things, then go for the biggest thing you can eat right now, and repeat.
Combos and points
Eat things quickly one after another to build a combo. The chain breaks if you go about a second without eating anything. Every 5 slurps in a row add +0.5× to your points, up to 3×, and each slurp in the combo plays the next musical note. Points turn into coins at the end of the level.
Dash tricks
While you are dashing you can swallow things that are slightly too big (about 15% bigger than you). Use it to grab the next size up early, to catch fleeing mice, ducks and people, and to get away from the dog.
Hazards
- Socks 🧦 clog your nozzle. You spin helplessly for about a second and spit out up to 4 of the things you just ate. Drive around socks.
- Puddles ⚡ give you a zap (and an electrified cat) if you drive into one while you are smaller than it. Once you are big enough, you simply drink the puddle. The park pond works the same way.
- The dog chases small vacuums and pounces, knocking you back. Once you are bigger than the dog, it runs away and you can slurp it.
- Cars brake and honk when you are in front of them, but they still push you around until you can eat them.
Power-ups
Glowing power-ups appear near you about every 20 seconds. Each lasts 7 seconds:
- ⚡ Turbo Battery: 40% more speed.
- 🌪️ Mega Suction: a much wider suction circle, and you can eat things up to 20% bigger than you.
- ⏰ Bonus Time: +12 seconds on the clock.
Stars
Every level has the same three stars:
- Clean enough before the timer runs out (40 to 45% depending on the level). This passes the level and unlocks the next one.
- Slurp the Big One, the special prop shown before the level starts.
- Clean almost everything (80 to 90%).
If you are close to the first star when time runs out, you may be offered a few extra seconds.

Level tips:
- Kitchen: the cereal spill next to the table is the fastest start. The fridge is the last thing to grow into before the walls.
- Living room: there are socks everywhere and a dog that hunts you. Grab coins and dust under the sofa while you are small.
- Whole house: four rooms. The bathroom has puddles, so leave it for later and start in the kitchen.
- Backyard: the patio around the grill is packed with food. Party guests become edible once you are a little bigger than a kitchen chair.
- Maple Street: litter on the pavement first, then gnomes, bins and bikes in the front gardens, then cars, then houses.
- Park: stay away from the pond until you can drink it. The picnic blankets are full of snacks.
- Downtown: you start bigger. Eat street furniture and parked cars, then buses and shops, before towers and the skyscraper.
- Spring Cleaning: you start crumb-sized in a small kitchen and end up eating a whole town. Five minutes is plenty if you keep the combo going.
